STEFAN MIJATOVIC RE-SIGNS WITH UTICA CITY FC ON THREE-YEAR DEAL

UTICA, NY — General Manager Tommy Tanner and Utica City FC announced the re-signing of defender Stefan Mijatovic on a three-year contract. Mijatovic was acquired from the St. Louis Ambush midway through the 2022-23 season and made an instantaneous impact on both defense and offense. 

Mijatovic tallied 6G and 7A through 15GP with UCFC in 2022-23, electrifying the City faithful with his hard-nosed style of play, boisterous personality, and scoring touch. He also was a part of the Newtown Pride FC squad that won the $1,000,000 TST7v7 tournament prize in June.

Tanner was ecstatic with the signing, quoted as follows:

I'm looking for Stef to have his best season as a pro, he's been working to elevate his game and I can't wait to see the results. He took advantage of his opportunities in Utica, built an incredible relationship with the fans, and is going to be in exceptional form for the coming season. I'm thrilled to have him back!
