UTICA CITY RE-SIGNS JAYCE BERGER
Utica, NY - Utica City FC is thrilled to announce the return of defender Jayce Berger for the upcoming MASL season. Last year, Berger made an immediate impact in his debut season, scoring four goals and providing one assist in just 10 games, showcasing his versatility and strong presence on both ends of the field. His contributions as a rookie were impressive, and Utica City is eager to see him continue his growth in Utica.
“I cannot wait for the season to start,” Berger said, “I’m here to become a better player, teammate, role model and to show the Utica City fans what true passion looks like.”
“Jayce proved to be a valuable player for us last season,” said General Manager Tommy Tanner. “His defensive capabilities and ability to join the attack make him a unique asset, and we’re excited to have him back with the team for another year.”
A native of Des Moines, Iowa, Berger played his college soccer at Grand View University, where he excelled as a key defender. Now, he looks to build on his impressive rookie season and help lead Utica City FC to greater success in the MASL.
Utica City FC begins their home slate on Sunday, December 29th against the Harrisburg Heat. Season tickets are available now for as low as $153 at ucfctickets.com.
